Winchester 1887 lever action 12 gauge
I am working on 1 Winchester 1887 lever action 12 gauge shotgun. It hold 3 rounds in a tube and one in the chamber. It belongs to a client who has had in the family for 3 generations. I found that the "V" spring was broken and can't find one anywhere. Even Bob's Gun Shop could not help me. Anyone out there with any suggestions. I have a professional welder who is willing to try welding the break which is on the end of the V. I will try to attach a photo so you folks can see what I am dealing with. I know I can fabricate one from scratch but obviously the owner would like the original or an original replacement. Can anyone help me. I don't even know if I have this post in the right section.
