They've clearly gone to the P.T. Barnum sales philosophy -- a sucker born every minute. Likely, in this day of "tacti-cool rules", a good move.

Instead of wasting time on something ugly like this they ought to make a affordable lever in 357, 44 and 45colt. A few people will like a tacticool lever but for the most part people who buy levers like the traditional look. With this model I don't think they will sell many and will be discontinued in 2013.

I'm going to post in the affirmative! Note, I am not a lever gun nut or purist at all. That being said, the fear factor of racking a round in the vicinity of a bad guy with a shotgun or a lever gun would be about the same. I can see where some folks would opt for a home defense rifle, vs shotgun. I can also see a few hog hunters going nuts over a rifle like that.

To each his own.

I guess their theory is, if you throw enough at the wall, eventually, something will stick...

I really like the look of this one, also released yesterday at Shot Show...

I honestly don't know how they could make that any uglier.
But to each their own.

I have to say that I find the thing a completely hideous monstrosity.
Nevertheless, I really like lever actions, and they're fast to cycle/shoot. Also, while I don't generally care for tubular magazines (can't use pointy bullets), it's really fast and easy to adds cartridges whenever you like or have a break. So from a practicality perspective, I think this is actually kind of a good idea. And obviously it's relatively inexpensive for them to produce on an existing action.

...still struggling with the Toy Story toy reject styling, though...

The tactical 30-30 is a little over the top for me. Personally I don't know anyone who would rush out and buy one.

Can you say PhotoChop?

Reminds me of one of those jokes where they ask what would you get if you married a dinosaur with a tube of toothpaste or something like that. This thing reminds me of what you might get if you married a The Rifle Man TV Show with Zombie Killer X-Box..... yes an ugly abortion is the answer.
