kdub was a young man when these appeared in the March 1950 American Rifleman.

Now you know where I got the idea.

In those days, I was young enough to believe a .22LR could fetch most anything!

I enjoy the old advertisements.
Here is a Lyman sight ad from Shooting and Fishing circa 1901.
Another with a Peters 30-30 ad.
Here’s a Western cartridge ad from The Arms and the Man 1922.

I like to component bullet ads.
One last one.
Who could ask for a better endorcement for their rifles sights than from Stewart Edward White - described by E. C. Crossman as one of the best offhand rifle shots he had ever seen in action.

Thanks RJ. Brought back a lot of memories of reading and wishing when I was a kid. My great uncle used to bring me a stack of American Rifleman magazines when I was a kid. Mom had heck getting me to do my homework for several weeks.
