just picked up a marlin model 336rc trying to remove
the bolt I've opened the finger lever and removed lever
slid bolt back it stops on a spring loaded pin on the left
side of the reciever the pin is located just above two small
screws( peep sight screws) and on center inline with the slot
that runs down the side of the bolt Would any body know
how to remove bolt i want to mount a scope

Are you sure the hammer is not stopping the bolt?

After you remove the lever screw, pull the lever out and just pull the bolt out the back. There is nothing else holding it. The pin you see is the locating pin of the ejector spring. It (the ejector) is held in bu the bolt, not the reverse. Reaching under the bolt and pulling down on the hammer will help some., but it isn't preventing the bolt being removed.
