Since Tater took it wrong, I'll add that I'm not trying to pick on him. It's pretty common for newer users to do this. The point is that when you're in a conversation that stops and then years years later come back and speak the next next sentence as if no time had passed, none of the original participants is any longer up to speed on or following its content. At that moment only the person reviving the old thread is up to speed on it.

If the new comment represents a new theory or idea, the original posters or others will probably take the time to go back and reread the rest of the thread to reengage in the conversation. Thats why we don't close them. But if the addition is just repeating something already said, then they won't bother. In that instance you'll be more successful at drawing attention to the subject and get more participation just by starting a new thread.

ammo

hi mate. have a 39a i use for competition.
sights are ANSHUTZ Aperture target sights front an rear.
it has taken me a while to find the best ammo for mine, CCI Standard velocity LR.
Not hard to put 5 in the 10 ring at 25 over the bench. i went thru a fair amount of brands
and just cause it works in my rifle does not mean it will work in yours.

On the other hand, the original poster never did write again to tell if he had solved the issue, or what the solution was.
