According to an article at military.com, President-elect Obama may overturn the current "Don't ask, don't tell" policy concerning gays in the military and allow them to openingly serve. A poll running on this same site shows 55% for the change and 40% against.

My personal opinion: I served 20 yrs in the Navy. At worst, lets just leave it as it is. However, I think this just shows how nieve the new President will be about military affairs and how liberal his close advisers are.

Considering our policy against political posts and the primary subject matter, I'm closing this thread.
