I flew one of these and actually spent the last year of my career flying one in Egypt (that is not me in front of the pyramids, however). For that year, mine was red & white, shown here with me flying in the desert in Egypt.

U.S. Army, Nov. 65'- Nov 67'.....taught myself to become completely invisible and to hide behind something as small as a blade of grass....
also to run very fast, sleep either while standing or walking, eat stuff that a billy goat wouldn't touch, complain about everything, learned you can't carry to much chocolate, (or ammo) and most of all, the ability to wait..and wait...and wait....and sometimes the wait wasn't long enough...I'm proud of my service and I seem to remember a lot of good times, but for some reason I'm sure I wouldn't want to do it again...to my fellow Vets, all my respect..oh, 11Bravo..

Spent 4 years in Germany, first as Hawk Missile Tech in the Fulda gap, then Supply Specialist. I was there when we came within seconds of shooting Ole Tricky Dick down one night when AF1 got off course during his visit to Moscow.
