Talking Decided on the Browning Centennial B92

Cant wait to get this beauty, I was told it may never have been shot !! Shouldnt it also shoot 44 specials? Might be just the ticket for close up whitetails and mild recoil.Wonder what the weight of the rifle is?Anyone?

If chambered for the .44 Magnum, there is no guarantee that it will feed .44 Specials flawlessly. Some rifles will and some won't. If yours won't you can experiment with different bullets and seating depths to see if you can make it work. Good luck with your new rifle!

You can always load .44 Specials into the chamber by hand, the same as if you were loading a .44 Magnum revolver. Your '92 may or may not like .44 Specials loaded in the magazine tube. You will just have to try it out and see. I have two '92s (.45 Colt and .44 WCF) and really enjoy shooting them.

there is a problem tho with ALL rifles (pistols too) that shoot shorter-cased rounds.....you MUST clean them very carefully after shooting the shorter-cased rounds, or they will build up a burnt ring of crud in the front of the chamber, and if not cared for, will eventually pit that area of the chamber........for me, it's not worth the hassle, especially in a rifle that is difficult to break down to clean the chamber properly....I'd just download the longer cartridges a bit...... just sayin'....

I converted it to 45 colt !! Awsome now!

I had the 44 mag barrel rebored and rifled for 45colt and had the action chnaged a bit to feed that round. Now even wadcutters or smi jacketed feed smooth and sure plus I get to reload for that round to whatver power I need. Right now its shooting a mild 255gr SWC at 1250fps. Kiowa Jones did the action job.
