Just got back from the hospital and have four holes in me now. Had my galbladder taken out this morning, Ain't no fun at all.

I had that done back in 1982. Just got back from an elk hunt and the doctors was sure I was having heart problems. After screwing around for a couple weeks they shot the dye into me and figured it out. Four holes?.... things have changed. Back then they opened me from side to side above the stomach.

Yep - them gall bladders are a nuisance. Had mine removed as Monty did, back in 1967. Haven't missed the pain since. Still have the scar to prove it though.

Yea, I've seen the scars from people that had it done the old way, cut them half into on the right side just under the ribs. They said they might have to do mine that way if any of the organs were in the way, and I would have been in the hospital several days. Thankfully things went as planned. I was at the surgery center at 05:30 this morning, they rolled me in the O R at 07:00 and I was back home at 11:00, minus my gallbradder. Now I just feel druged up and woozie headed from the pain pills.

Hopefully, now I can eat a meal without having to worry about being back in the emergency room, me and my gallbladder have not been very good friends for several months now.

Had mine out in '98, had the same experience.

Enjoy than free drugs as long as you can. Hope you get to feeling better and back to normal speed. I am scheduled for intestinal surgery next month and I ain't looking forward to it.

My daughter had hers out about 6 months ago. Quack doctor cut the bile ducts instead of the gall bladder. Then just tore her gall bladder out. Sent her home that evening. 3 days later with bile running all through her system she turned yellow. Went to a different doctor. He repaired the bile ducts. She is still haveing problems and they told her she will need more surgery. Glad yours worked out ok.
