My local gunshop has a commemorative Winchester m94 chambered in 32-40. Beautiful walnut stock, 3/4 lever loop, signature on the top of the grip and other nice features. Made in 1981, never fired, new in box.
I'm afraid it would have to end up in my possession. Likely way too expensive for me though, and I'm sure a collector would shudder at me having it. I'd hunt with it.
Hahahaha, me too, Terry. My long barreled real pretty gold .30-30. It's a shame NOT to use it. I kept it unfired for 40 years. Cryin' shame too. It's as accurate as all get out too. Yep, I'd shoot that .32-40.
I think i'm in the minority here but I can't stand commemoritive firearms, or I just haven't seen one i've liked. I know some of you would collect them for display only and some of you would use them. I'm a firm believer in using a firearms for what it was intended for. besides, I just find the engravings and other added bits and pieces take away from the gun's looks and it completely ruins it for me. my coworker has some commemoritive Winchester 94 NIB that he wants to sell but he wants too much for it and it's not like it's limited edition. some of the Henry commemoritive rifles i've seen are among the ugliest monstrosities ever to grace their catalog
