Good Article

I agree with the writer's premise that 170K does not a "trophy hunter" make.

I would not feel a sense of accomplishment or pride under these circumstances,
Buy knowing me-to be honest-I would try to brag about it, but I would never feel that I had been truly hunting, it would gnaw at me.

I hope pretty boy hunting is never the outcome in Idaho.

It is disturbing to find out that a governors tag even exists, anywhere in the country. I believe the bull should not be entered into the B&C books.
especially when he paid 170k for it. the avg household doesnt even bring in that much money in a year.

What a waste huh?

Like Pete Rose and the baseball hall of fame. Records are records, and good is good, but he really didn't hunt that thing. He shot it sure, but hunting is not shooting. It is more than that and in the end it includes that, but 170 grand to shoot at and elk and have everyone else do all he leg work... forget it. Hey if you find an nice rack off a dead dear or elk in the woods too do you get in the Boone and Crockett or do you have to hunt and earn it? The sadest part they probably didn't even eat it.

Im just a peckerwood that lives in the hills with too many guns There's going to be more shooting, more people are going to die. I didn't start it, but I mean to see it through I'm going to find them, burn their playhouse down Exercise my right to bear arms You don't understand how serious this is. The article and you guys do have a point. One thing though, There are outfitters in every state in the Union and they are all expensive. There are hunting ranches here in Texas where you have to pay to go hunt. There sems to be fewer and fewer places to go for the public to hunt unles they can get a lease or pay and outfitter or one of those hunting ranches a bunch of money.

Another point, The Enviroweenies want to preserve animals, Well the best way to preserve them is to make them economically valuble. The selling of the Tags in Utah and the Hunting Ranches do just that.

Just a couple of thoughs to think about.

+1...Real good points.

Can't get too concerned about this as I lean towards liberty. I'd have to have more money than Trump and be confined to a wheelchair to pay $170k for an elk tag. It could happen.
