I want to shoot a heavy bullet with a large meplat on it -- a 30-30 wants flat noses instead of spitzers, so +1 there. I can work a lever faster than a bolt. A ghost ring and post is MUCH faster for me than ANY optic. Pig hunting is fast and up close most of the time. Isn't anything faster to shoulder for me than a Winchester 94.

Depends on the range. What will work for deer should be perfectly adequate for the pigs .....

I changed the thread title. There is really no reason to have separate polls as you are answering the same question.
