Vaquero Double Action
 

I want a DOUBLE ACTION Ruger Vaquero with bird head grips and a short barrel like the Colt Thunderer. I've always thought that the reason it wasn't made, was because double actions are not used in the cowboy shoots. I have since come to the realization that it all has to do with marketing. After all, if one could have a 3" .357 Lightning Storekeeper beside his bed and a 4" .45 Colt Thunderer Sheriff's Model to carry in bear country who would buy anything else.

Oh well if we couldn't live without a double action we would need an N frame S&W, probally buy a .44 before we found out a .41 will do everything the 44 did but with less recoil. Then we would need a .22/22 mag for when the kids wanted to start shooting. Then a 45 semi auto of some type would be needed, hopefully with a large capacity magazine.Then some old "collector" would catch our eye... well I guess that's how a gun safe fills up and why we "need" more than one, many more.
