3/4" tube on Browning 1885

I've recently purchased an older Browning 1885 LoWall in 22 Hornet, which I intend to use for punching paper, plinking, and small varmints. It came with the original Browning scope bases and a set of Leupold rings and I've thrown on an old 4X Tasco for now, but would really like to mount my old 3/4" x 16" tubed Weaver G4 - partly because it looks old timey, and partly for nostalgia - because it was a "cleaning out my shop - you want it?" gift from a long-gone old gunsmith buddy of 40 years ago.

I already have new 3/4" rings, but they fit a Weaver style mount - not Leupold style Browning bases. Are there any 3/4" rings that'll fit the Browning bases, or better yet, is there a Weaver style base? I've found 2-pc bases for the HiWall, but not the LoWall - were there ever any Weaver bases for this gun?

The rifle is original and I don't want to modify it in any way, and although I could modify the bases to accept a Weaver 1pc.base, I'd prefer to not cut them up either.

Thanks, Joe (hobbyguymaine/oldwindbag)

Do understand...I prefer guns and scopes to match time frames.

Don't know of a 3/4 ring for a Leupold base...but believe that the Weaver bases were made that model, and as you have the hard 1/2 the fight won (those rings) might be better to switch bases.

Have a couple of spots to look on-line...will see if there is a stray base to be found.
