Non-Warranty Scope Repair

We've had numerous inquiries in the past as to where to have non-warrantry scopes repaired. This applies mainly to the older Redfields (Denver) and Weaver (El Paso) scopes.

The owner is Mike Sexton. He is usually backlogged on repairs and it may take a few weeks for him to get your scope repaired and back to you. Be patient - the wait is worth it. He has repaired several of my older Redfield scopes and has done a fine job.

It really pays to buy Leupolds I've had 2 incidents 1 I caused when the OH garage door hit my stock knocking the sako out of the vice it landed on the scope bending the tube -replaced no charge and last Nov on an elk hunt I fell knocking out the erectors of my leupold scope repaired no charge.

I own three Zeiss 8x30 B/GA IF Olive binoculars. I wanted my last binocular -- and this time I really mean it!! -- to be fitted with a range finding reticle and umbral lenses, as are the first two.

Although the 8x30 B/GA IF Olive binocular was in production for more than 40 years, with millions made, Zeiss-Wetzlar maintains no service inventory. When I asked who might be able to assist me, Customer Service at Zeiss-USA made the referral.

This is the company Zeiss-USA uses when their repair department is backlogged or unable to do a job -- for example, when parts are unavailable.

Texas Nautical Repair's repair department custom made the parts and fitted to the binocular.

Don't know if Weaver Scope Repair is still in business, but they did a couple of old Weaver steel scopes for me, and I was very satisfied with time, price and the finished repair. Both scopes are still working fine.
A couple of 2.5 X, which are still great scopes on a .308 Winchester bolt gun.

It appears Iron Sights, Inc. is getting awfully slow on repairs/delivery of late.

Probably advisable to seek repair of non-warranty scopes with one of the other services listed in this thread. Hate to have to post this - Mike always did great repairs.
