Low Power Scope

Hey all,
I have inherited a sporterized lee enfield 303 british from my cousin. I plan on souly using this rifle as a deer drive gun, to take through the brush and get beat up instead of my browing a-bolt. It DOES NOT have the original iron sights on, and ive come to realize it might cost more to put irons back on instead of just buying a 1 or 2 power scope.

My question, is who makes the best scope in that category? or am I better off with trying a red dot sight/scope. Shots would be limited to most likely 50-100 yards.

Note: not looking to spend more than around 100$. (I know that really limits my options)

That limits your options to Asian made scopes, which have varying degrees of quality. Same with a reflex or red dot item. Best I can recommend is to check out all the advertising of such scopes/dots and get the one that seems to have the most built-in qualities.

For a few more bucks, Burris and Redfield make pretty good fixed low power scopes.

Look at Bushnell 1 1/2 to 4 power variables around $60-75. I have 4or 5 on Leveractions and other Brush guns and have been very happy with them.

There aren't many fixed power scopes left. I don't know of any from Burris or Redfield.
My nominee for best $100 scope is the Burris FF e1 3-9X40 at NatchezSS. $150, and Burris has a $50 rebate on it. You can always leave it on 3X in the brush.
