...I really Like the Remington Safari-Grade stuff in a factory-load. Specifically because I favor Swift A-Frames. I have harvested a considerable amount of game with A-Frames, and they work great...Especially if I was rollin-up my own loads, The A-Frame would be IT - HANDS-DOWN.

...I have used Winchester ammunition in all shapes and sizes over the years, and their Fail-Safe bullet is another great PENETRATOR. I am looking forward to using the new Accubond load here in the near future also.

My elk load for my hunting rifle of 20 years, was a 180 grain Nosler (partition) bullet and a good dose of IMR-4831 powder.
74 grains of powder which is a MAX LOAD!!! Velocity was over 3100fps.

don't know about a Elk load, how about Alaskan Moose? I use Barnes XLC 180 BT with RL19 - 77GRAINS -Perfect load/accuracy!

I shoot 81 grains of H-1000, federal 215 primers,Winchester cases and the 180 Grain TXS very accurate and very effective on game

A very good bullet and powder is:

The Norma ORYX 200grain - Nice rest weight, 97-98%
to that bullet I use VihtaVuori N560 - 70grain powder...

With this bullet I shoot mosse, elk and roe deer. You don´t get much meat lost, so this I can highly recomend

200 Grain Acubond over 74 Gr 4831, Win Casses and "Federal Standard Rifle Primers" not mag primers.

I love the Acubond Bullet, great performance, great price.

You might want to work up that load with a magnum primer if your gonna use it it colder weather.
I've heard that some powder can be finiky in colder weather with standard primers in large capacity casses.
