7.65x53 Argentine Mauser

Help ! Just came accross a commercial made mauser, it has no caliber designation on the gun at all-
As a matter of fact, it has no stampings at all on the barrel and only a oval with what looks like the letters J F C in it followed by " action- made in Belgium " on the receiver.
I would like to know if anybody can give me any information on this thing ?
I did a chamber casting and it looks like it might be 7.65x53 Argentine.
The receiver is drilled for scope mounts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated-
