I havent owned a recent Ruger. Last one I had was probably from the early to mid 80s or so. Trigger SUCKED on it and was average accuracy wise. I own 3 TC bolts. 2 Icons and 1 Venture. The Venture regularly shoots under 1/2 inch with my handloads. I have shot a tad over an inch group at 200. The adjustable trigger is nice. The stock is not flimsy like some other plastic stocks.

Would love to have a Venture in a short action in 7mm 08 or 260.Probably not going to happen at least the 260. I do hope they come out in an SA though.

I bought a TC Venture in .30-06 last month. 46.5 grains of IMR4895 and a Hornady 165 gr SST= 5 shots into 3/4" and 5 shots into 7/8" at 100yds. This was the first load I tried, and I killed a 9 point with it a week later. I really like the gun.

Im just a peckerwood that lives in the hills with too many guns There's going to be more shooting, more people are going to die. I didn't start it, but I mean to see it through I'm going to find them, burn their playhouse down Exercise my right to bear arms You don't understand how serious this is. I have to second Tang's vote for the Hawkeye. Trigger still not great but easily fixed. Quality, accuracy and strength------GREAT!

The only T/Cs I have are Hawkens in .54 and .50 caiber, they are very well made guns. I like them, but my bolt guns are Rugers. I have a bunch of them (like 45) and they have all been great.
