Which Rifles Would You Choose?

I'm just curious to see what different people like so here is my question, which rifles would you choose for hunting?

Small Game
Varmint/Predator
Pronghorn
Deer (depending on where you live it can be short-long range)
Sheep/Goat
Hogs
Bear
Elk
Moose

You can choose whatever rifle & cartridge you want
I have/would have the following

Winchester Wildcat 22 - 22lr
Valmet 412S - .243 Win. & 12 Gauge
Remington Model Seven - .260 Rem.
T/C Venture - .270 Win.
Savage Model 110 - .308 Win.
Bushmaster Carbine - .450 Bushmaster
Browning BLR - .358 Win.
Winchester Model 70 Sporter - .300 Win. Mag.
Remington Model 700 XCR II - .375 H&H Mag.

p.s. I've only hunted deer and small game...

GunNut97,

Good thread!

I would need rifles in .22 rifle, a .243, a .30-06, and .35 Whelen.

I will play also
Ruger 10-22 or savage 17 hmr
howa 1500 22-250
Remington 30-0-6
Remington 375 rum for the rest I would also add my marlin guide gun in 45-70 depending on range. The reason I say 375 for mtn goat is you want to put them down where they stand so they don't fall of a cliff. I was lucky enough to get one in 2002 (public draw tag) and read too many horror stories about goats getting banged up after being shot. As for moose and elk I have never hunted moose but believe you can't use too much gun on elk.

If I was starting over right now and buying rifles....

Winchester M70 375 H&H (everything from hogs up)
Winchester M70 Weather Extreme 270wsm (everything on the list but biggest of bears...but at longer ranges and in nasty weather)

Winchester 1885 Low wall in .225 Win (or 22-250) for things smaller then deer but bigger then a bread box.

For the smallest of small game, I'll hold onto my CZ452 17HMR

Hmm....might have to sell all my guns and try this out for a while!

OK,here goes, not including my bow (have taken my biggest buck to date with a Hoyt Viper).
small stuff= .22lr
predators/varmint= .223
pronghorn/deer/sheep/goats= 6.5x55 or .270
hogs=bow,traps,.357mag,mini-14,anything to get rid of them
I will probably never shoot a bear, elk, or moose. but have a 30-06 and .308 that would probably work.
also have shoot many of the above with my 06 'cause thats what I had with me.

.223 Rem for varmints in an Encore.

The same rifle in .300 Win Mag for longer shots and larger game.
A model 70 in .375 H&H for the big bears.

Also, M-1 Garand in 30-06, 1917 in 30-06, 1903A1 in 30-06.

If I had to use one, it would be my 300 Win Mag. But, if advising someone, I'd tell 'em a good 30-06 in a bolt action with a 3-9x scope.
