17 HMR Hornady Hoolow Points

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

I just bought a box of 17 HMR hornady 20grain hollow points and was wondering if anyone has compared them to the 17grain ballistic tip hornady round. Im wondering if ill get better penetration and retain more bullet weight. If i shoot a 2 liter bottle full of water at 200 or 300 hundred yards i find pieces of fragmented bullet in the bottle with the ballistic tips. Will the hollow point stay intact? Would it be better for lagger varmints? Im gonna try to get to the range tomorrow and find out ill let you guys know but in the mean time any insight would be helpful. Thanks
