Who makes a good one, preferably 30-40 gr copper bullet, either a bulk 500-550 pack or 10 packs of 50 or 5 or 100 packs. I don't care about a few misfires or accuracy, just cheap. This is for a Mk 1 pistol. Links with cheap shipping prices are appreciated.

I use either the Ferderal 550 or Winchester 555 packs - both have 36 grain plated HPs and work well

The American Eagle's always worked well in my 10/22's. Not incredibly accurate but they cycled.

Federal or Winchester bulk packs are all that I shoot. All the best...

If you don't care about accuracy or even reliable function, just head to the store and pick up whatever is on sale, I guess? Personally, I like figuring out what shoots WELL in my guns and stocking up on that particular ammo. I am not indifferent when it comes to having rounds fail to fire, cycle, or eject...even in a 22 pistol.

I buy the CCI/Blaser and Federal bulk off gunbroker for $160-$180 delivered for 5k-5.2k rounds. The store bought CCI mini-mag fire as well in my Mark I and Single Six as the bulk stuff.

That's my thought.

I used to be more picky, and for some shooting I avoid the bulk pak stuff. Autoloading handguns and newer shooters. My P22 is less than 100% on anything but the good stuff, and I don't like to watch new shooters clearing a jam.

Shooting with my daughter for instance, who is confident Dad will cover the ammo, I use cheap ammo, as she has shown a talent for unloading and reloading for her 10/22. Shooting off hand at clay birds in a sand pit they work fine. Shooting at pests long range, 100+ yds, with my 77/22 VBZ, I use Winchester HS/HP's as it favors those.

For plinking I usually just buy what bulk is available at WalMart (or my wife buys for me when I'm deployed). Just had a order delivered from Natchez yesterday for some bulk pack CCI Blazer. (also some Velocitors and Federal Match). Watch shipping when ordering online.
