Remington M5 accuracy?

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

I just sold a beautiful BRNO 611 auto because after trying every brand of ammo and bullet weight I never could get consistent groups better than 3 moa. So I find myself again in the market for a .22 WMR rifle and I like the looks of the Remington model five. I have a couple of CZs, a .22 LR and a .17 HMR and know CZ makes an accurate rifle but I don't like the length of the action. That space between the front of the trigger guard and the rear of the magazine is just wasted space. Marlin and Savage are the same. The only short action rimfire mags are the Remington bolt and the Henry lever. Since accuracy is my quest I'd rather trust the bolt, but being as they are made in the Philippines, I don't know. Anyone have one that shoots?

Am I reading you correctly? You're saying The Remington Model 5 is made in the Philippines? I am certain that the two I have in .22LR are made by Zastava in Bosnia.

Here's a couple of targets that I shot with one of mine at 50 yards with CHEAP cartridges. It does better with better ammo. The third target I don't really recall what ammo I was using.

I don't know where I got the idea of the Philippines but you're absolutely right, Zastava is Serbian. That is quite good shooting, I'd be happy with that level of accuracy. It is good to see actual targets, lots of folks will say "Oh my rifle is very accurate" but to some that just means they killed a couple of squirrels and can hit more cans than they miss. Thank You!
