Registered Users do not see the above ad.

Hello All.
I am new to this forum.
Does anyone know where I can get or order a spare Barrel for the Marlin 70 or 70PSS?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hi all.
Thank all of you who responded to my post. I no longer need a spare barrel. The project I was intending for it has been canceled due to ATF regulations.
Again thank you all.

Need spare barrel for Marlin model 70 or 70PSS

Hello Bob.
I hope this finds you and yours in good health.
Thank you for the reply.
No problem with being polite. That is one of the many virtues my Grandfather instilled in me.
Just a quick personal inform.
I am 64, a retired Electronics Manufacturing Engineer of 35 years, and a Vet.
Fire Arms is just one of my many hobbies which include, Metal detecting, RC Helicopters, Ham Radio and a few more.
I was a vivid hunter until i was disabled. I now have a Nero-Spinal implant and can not take a chance of dislodging it in a accidental fall in the woods.
I know this is more info than you planned on, but I have found, it does not hurt to let people know something about ones self.
I have done a Google search for the info and could only find links to full rifles. No parts. Marlin will not sell me just the barrel. They say it is a part that has to be installed by the factory. Even though it is a take-down rifle. The barrel attaches with a barrel nut. No special assembly. Just mount the barrel to the rifle and tighten the nut.
Again thank you for the reply and the link to try.

Tom check here for that barrel. They say they have one.

I'm also disabled so know where your coming from. I'm still out hunting some, but can't walk more than a few hundred feet. I mostly call coyotes now and leave the mountain climbing to younger folks.

Tom, if you want, I've got a spare 980S barrel lying around. Send me a PM.

I see now that the Marlin 70 is their Papoose takedown model with a short, lightweight barrel that attatches with a barrel nut. The barrel I have is a stainless 22" standard taper that came off my Marlin 980S. I also recrowned it, if that makes any difference. Whether or not you can work with it to fit your rifle, I don't know. Can anyone with a Marlin 70 measure the barrel tenon and maybe provide some photos for comparison?

Smile Need spare barrel for Marlin model 70 or 70PSS

Hello Ekoch424.
Thank you for the offer. However only a factory barrel made for a model 70P and 70PSS can be used. The barrel is unique.
The project I had in mind for the barrel has been cancled so I will not need one now.
Thank you again for the offer.
