.22 Magnum (WMR) CZ512

Has anyone seen these yet? All that's available right now are pictures but what a fine looking rifle. And it's a SEMI-AUTO. From what I understand it won't be available until the end of the year but boy, does this one excite me. Sure hope it lives up to my expectations. My Ruger 10/22 Magnum may have a stablemate. I'm really anxious to see one and handle it, and then SHOOT it. CZ sure seems to have a fine reputation amongst the members here and I sure hope this one doesn't disappoint. The CZ site lists expected MSRP to be $479 so I expect, real world, it'll be down around $420 in the stores.

Yeah, I'm excited.

Just got the new CZ catalog and noticed their seim-auto rimfire .22s and was surprised to see the mag. So now we have two choices, the 597 or the CZ. I agree, it looks like something I would want to buy.

Was just looking at the 512, got real excited until I noticed the polymer frame! I have an H&K 300 and a Rem 597, the 597 is not my go to gun!

264 ............ I hear ya. I was out to the range one day with my Ruger 10/22 Magnum and got the opportunity to observe and then shoot a 597 Magnum. I shot it and was totally unimpressed. Then the owner took back over the shooting duties and the bolt handle came off in his hand. He was not a happy camper either. Tried selling the rifle right then and there ... and had NO takers. I love my Ruger. It is MY go-to gun.
