I was going through my dad's weaponry to see what we have and I found a Browning auto 5 and a Remington Sportsman 48 among other shotguns. We have a double barrel .410, Remington I beleieve, not too sure didn't look to hard, the other is a single break barrel shotgun, no idea what brand.

My questions are about the Browning Auto 5 and the Remington Sportsman 48.

The Browning has a B315** number stamped on the side of the receiver I've looked and didn't understand the charts on the browning website. any idea based on that number when it was produced and how much it would be worth.

The other question is kind of the same but for the Sportsman 48 the numbers stamped on it are 38400*
* it's a 20 ga.

and of course the ** is a fill in for the last 2 numbers of the serial.
