Hi I'm brand new to the forum.

My dad gave me a garbage can full of 2 3/4 activ hulls. I'm new to reloading with just basic shotshell reloading experience. He also gave me 4 bags or activ wads and said to find a load they work for and load them. My problem is there are not enough wads for as many hulls as I have. Can I sub in another wad for these shells or not? I've been told they are junk and to just throw them away by other people, but I found a post on here saying they are not. Anybody able to help me out with this?

I'm hoping to find a load for heavy field loads using winchester powder. They will be used in my wingmaster, my wifes 870 or my SBE2.

Once again thank you!!

They are definitely not junk. I have ACTIV data, but most of it is in forms that can't be sent e-mail. I'm getting it onto spreadsheets, but it's slow going. I currently have 1 and 1 1/8 ounce data using newer wads (nin-ACTIV)ready to send, although it isn't in its final form. More will be added when I get the time. If you want what I have, I'll need your e-mail address.

IIRC the data was printed on the bag, but I don't recall if they used someone else' wads at all.

if you could I would appreciate it!! my email is [email protected]. The more to compare to the better right??

my dad did some more digging and found in one of his old reloading manuals some wad conversions for the activ. Next time I'm at his house I will scan them and post them on here for you guys to use also.

Thanks for the replies!

Just a word the the wise.... don't post your contact information on any open forum. The PM function works well for that and is a lot safer.

Too late! I have it now! (Insert maniacal laugh) I'm gonna spam the cr..........oops. It was me he was going to send it to in the first place.

MontyF is right. Too many people/bots harvest the information. A PM is just as quick, and much safer.

I have one of the old ACTIV reloading date booklets and I copied a page that should help you and attached it to an email I just sent. There are 2 attachments, one as a photo and one as pdf. Hope this helps.
