1972 Gun Digest
Any of you have this addition sitting around somewhere?
I am looking for the Article in it about the J Stevens Model 200 20 Ga pump shotgun. Manufactured around 1910 or 1911.
I happend to own one of these, it was my great grandfathers, from what I am told it was the only gun he ever owned.
Thanks
RF

Any chance you have the ability to scan that article to a PDF file and send it to me?

That would be it. Thanks HD1, I was just wanting the article to go with it. Going to try and find a used copy of the 1972 Gun Digest
From what I understand there are only a few of these that are left in working order. The one that I have has not been fired in over 40 years.
As I said it was my Great Grandfather's, and have been told that it was the only gun that he ever owned ( except for the weapon that he was allowed to keep after coming home from World War I. Noone seems to remember where that weapon went to.
Anyway, the Model 200 is what he used on Squirrels, Rabbits, Grouse, Pheasent and Deer. I have not tried to fire it, because the barrel is very loose, and the lock ring is as tight as it gets. I am afraid if I fired it , it will break something.

Yea you just may want to hang that one over the fireplace. I have been explaining to my 11 yr. old son that there are things known as "Family Guns". These are guns that are passed through the family that are never to be sold, traded, etc.. for any reason. I have guns that were my Great Grandfathers guns !!! They are priceless treasures and are irreplaceable !!! I may have a copy of that book yet, I'll keep looking !!! HD1
