If you own ARs and do not have a 6.8 upper by the end of the year, I am reporting you to the AR police. 6.8, 6.5, .458 SOCOM, 50B... you really must expand your AR collection. I have two ARs in .458 SOCOM and one pistol in .458 SOCOM (not an AR), three 6.8s, and one 6.5. I honestly cannot say anything negative about any of them. So, you have until December 31 to get that 6.8 upper or you WILL be reported and the AR police will show up, so have a really good explanation ready as to why you have been so negligent.

Combat Diver, we appreciate your service and I'm sure you'll get to add your 6.8 when you get back. Make sure you look for the updated specs on it.

Thanks,
Yes, I know about the spec II chamber. Good friend of mine worked on developing that cartridge at Fort Campbell.

No I had not noticed. OK, I'll let you have an extension before sicking the AR police on you. And thank you for your service and maybe some day our Commander in Chief will send you the reinforcements we need to win that war.
Come home safe, that's the most important thing, then you can fix yourself up with the 6.8 upper!

I like them! Thought the PC term on this board was "OLD COOTS" Didn't we vote on this?

Heck I would want to have one just to have one and have it collect dust, just for the mere fact that....it buggs the crud out of them! When your get older its not AR's you fear it's ARthrits!

I would like to say I'm over 40 and have over 40! Like Uncle TED Nugent!

Me too. Good way to get everyone into AR's, having real hunting cartridges for them.

AR's grow on trees, Weatherby's don't !!! If it's a good trade, do it. You can always pick up another AR. Don't get me wrong, I like ARs. In fact I own a couple and shoot them often. It just seems like AR's are pretty much a dime-a-dozen these days. HD1
