Its a hard cartridge to beat, it can kill anything you need to kill, you can buy it anywhere, recoil is moderate performance is excellent.

Do I sense a little jealousy? Knowing it's a better deer cartridge than your 338 WM must be a bitter pill to swallow

Hard to beat 160 grain tsx bullet zippin out at 3350FPS, im not really jealous of the .270, somethin about the 130 grain bullet going 3100-200 fps just isnt impressive when compared to the .338. i will stick with the .270 bein an excellent coyote round,

thatll be fun, but you may as well just order an extra barrel now >.O although i guess every time you go through a barrel you can go up in cal, youd have a .375 RUM in no time, and have way to much fun a long the way.

*yawn*.....don't want to bore you magnum guys, but it's almost time to get caught up on my .35 Rem reloads, boy that thing sure does eat powder 3 grains at a time with cast bullet loads... hope the coyotes are small, and cooperative!

I'm a .338 kind of guy. So when the .300 barrel is ready to come out, it's going to be a .338 Edge with a removable brake. As a matter of fact, if you are interested, make an offer, I might sell the barrel long before its wore out. I REALLY wanted a .338 RUM in the Sendero.

Mike, I don't doubt you or your rifle's or your techniques one bit. I just have my own way that I like to do things. I really do enjoy the belch of a big magnum. I can not help it, it is like crack to me. The .22-250 bored me to tears. I give the VTR 22-250, all my brass, bullets, powder and dies to my brother for a birthday gift.

So I have thinned out my rifles quite a bit. I sold my .325 WSM and gave away the 22-250.

Now I will have in bolt rifles is:
7mm Rem Mag, .300 Win Mag, .300 Rem Ultra Mag, .338 Win Mag.

Anyone got any CCI-250's they want to sell ? Im willing to trade some CCI-200's, I have about 1500, and some Federal 210M's.

.338 RUM with Some 300 grainers would be a nice long range rifle.
