Who here has a ruger#1 Lyman commerative? Do you shoot it? Can I use factory ammo in this or only BP?

Anyone have the new Lipseys 26inch barrel #1-in 45/70???

Looking for feedback!

Don't have one, but if I did I'd shoot it. They'll handle any .45-70 load suitable for any other #1.

I see alot of the Ruger No 1 Lyman Centennial commemorative with the long tube Lyman scopes on the gun auction sites, Id like to hear from someone who actually shoots one! How good is that scope ? Is the gun accurate with the long scope?

Lyman 45-70

I had one of those several years ago and the scope is a piece of junk. The gun itself is a good design and I liked the way the barrel was tapered but any sight would be better than the scope that comes on it was.
