My guess is that lapping supplies will go out pretty quick. If you need them, order, and I'm sure he'll get them out as soon as possible.

As an overly patient experimenter myself, I am hugely impressed at the amount of time Marshall spent in providing this highly useful information on firelapping MLs - which is applicable to many a gun. I will certainly be applying it to some of my old, pitted barrels from 19th century ML and catridge guns.
I too wonder about getting the proper bullets of BHN 11-12. That hardness "pearl" from Marshall is another thing I'm grateful for.

Marshall sells lapping bullets, if that is what you are asking. Or casting them out of wheelweights would be about right.

Welcome to the forum.

If you need a .310, why not one of the Lee bullet for .32 S&W? The 100 grain bullet could be cast hard.

Nice to see this thread come back to life. I got started with my .32 ML last fall, but too many other things came up and well...

Anyway, I slugged and mic'd the barrel and found out the grooves are 0.3355" and the bore is 0.3190". I have washed the lube off some Hornady .32 wadcutters and loaded them with lapping compound, but haven't taken it to the range yet to try them. Maybe it will just take a few more shots than if I used the WW alloy that Marshall recommended.

Has anyone tried the soft lead mini approach?

Thanks,
