My fisrt time on this forum, Been a member of a couple of different groups, most recently Cast Boolits.

The main reason I decided to join this forum was that while searching for information on a new caliber for my Encore, I noted several related posts here.

I've just ordered a EABCO custom barrel for my Encore in 7mm 08 Rem Improved. I was curious if anyone out there has had experiences with this companys barrels.

My other rifles I've had re-barreled are with Shilen and a ER Shaw barrel(s) hopefully this new barrel I've ordered will be equal or better quality and accuracy.

(Q #2) Now that I've purchased a Wildcat cartridge, are there any other 7mm 08 (AI) shooters that would like to share reloading knowledge that they've learned loading for this cartridge.

I'm planning on using this cartridge for some intermediate range target shooting and hopefully in 2011 an Montana Antelope hunt.

Is there anywhere on the site where a person can build a profile?

I'll be counting the days.

Any 7mm 08 Rem. (AI) shooters feel like sharing experiences, loads bullets, case forming experiences? This will all be new stuff to me. I'm all ears

Welcome to ShootersForum. Rules are simple, be nice and join in!

Also, don't double-post the same question...the mod's don't like that! If you're a little bit patient, you'll get all the information you could ask for, and then some!

I haven't worked with the 7-08AI, but have wildcats in 6.5mm, 30 and 35 caliber, as well as handloading for several obsolescent cartridges. If you haven't done a lot of reloading, be sure to pay attention to what the guys here can give you (especially Rocky and Uncle Nick!) because they will help you avoid some of the pitfalls.

The more information you can provide (barrel length, rate of twist, bullet you intend to use, etc.) the better input you'll get from forum members.

I bought one for my 12 yr. old Grandson for Christmas last year. He
shot a black bear in Pennsylvania with it this year. It is a good
caliber it's accurate, powerful enough for deer sized game and has
very light recoil.
