.338-70
I have an old round from my step grandfather's cartridge collection. The headstamp is from a 45-70 round. I had always just thought it was a .348 Win he had made using 45-70 brass. However, when I put the calipers to it, I found the bullet to be .338 cal. Is there any data for this round? How would it compare to the new .338 Federal?
