OK all you 9422M experts out there...what brand of ammo shoots most accurately in your rifles? I tried the CCI Maxi-Mags at 100 yards and they were nothing to write home about.

I'd suggest getting several different brands and trying them all. I know that with my 9422, it HATES anything from Remington, but does nicely with Winchester and CCI. It does best with Eley. Good luck finding any!

Mine does the best with Winchester 40gr. HP,next would be winchester FMJ.Nothing else is worth buying.

Winchester Super X 40 gr. shoots best in mine also.

I know where I can find some 40 grain S-X... I'll give it a try.

Strange as it may be, my 9422 prefers Winchester ammo over all other brands; and it shoots equally small groups with the various types of Winchester 22s.

Don't have 9422 but was looking for one and bought the Henry model after giving up on a bunch of junk. Winchester 22 Super X HP was the best. Shot for accuracy and penatration. Also in two S&W revolvers. CCI was next but had little expansion. Super X silver box is the way to go. Also the Henry is a good little rifle if you are like me and get tired of ripoffs and golddiggers.

I agree Winchester, if you pull a bullet from all the brands you buy, only Winchester will measure .224" in diameter. All other will measure .2235", it makes a difference.
For hunting I prefer the Federal 50-grain Premium JHP over all others.
Next in line is the newer Remington 35-grain plastic tip bullet which kills skunks very well.
