Anyone hunting Croatia?

Seems boar and small deer hunts could be fun.

Do you bring back meat?

Can't bring back meat. Only exception I know of, and I'm not sure whether it is still true, is bringing meat back from Canada. A friend brought some moose meat back from a hunt, but it must have been at least 15 years ago. Anyway....

I hunted Slovenia, driven hunt for red deer and boar. Friendly place and Croatia is just a stone's throw away. Imagine it would be similar. Best of luck....

Croatia is a great place to hunt Harry. I have a few friends who have ventured down there and had a very enjoyable time. Their stories indicate the hospitality to be very similar to Slovenia and that is difficult to improve on. With regard to taking meat back home. One of our group which Mike shared in shot a chamois and he did bring back the wet skin, skull and some of the meat to the UK and was not stopped but I think that was fortunate as our customs people are pretty sharp on uncooked meats being brought in. I have no knowledge of your import laws but would guess they would frown on uncooked, unprepared food containing meat of any sort. You do have some exceptionally clever little dogs in your arrivals as my wife and I well know. The chances of detection would be high.
If you had an interest in Slovenia then I can point you towards the man to speak to. He is Head of Slovenian Hunting and Forestry, all hunting in Slovenia is controlled by the government. I also have details of a couple of names in the UK who arrange hunting trips to Croatia.

Hello
If you're looking for wild pigs, then you have many countries to choose from such as Serbia, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Turkey and others. It all depends on what type of game you want.
Driven hunt, stand hunting, dog hunting, night hunting, etc.
