S&W Durability

I just saw a S&W 629 Stealth, and was very impressed with the handling and lockwork smoothness. I have shot nothing but a single action revolver (Ruger SBH) for several years. I would like to try a DA, but I am concerned about the durability of the gun. I shoot the 280gr WFNGC at anywhere from 1100 to 1300 fps. I was wondering if the S&W could take that or not. I would use the gun for hunting and maybe shooting bowling pins. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://beartoothbullets.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

Thank You,

Check these posts bellow. If I have S&W M29 or M629, I would stay with 240 grains bullet up to 1200 fps. It was enough for Elmer Keith for long-range hunting for decades and I don't have doubt that should be enough powerful even today. They are very nice revolvers but respect their limits. If you want "pedal to the metal", use Rugers. Regards.
