The freeware PointBlank is as good as most. It doesn't make the transsonic corrections, same as most programs, but that doesn't matter at hunting ranges. http://www.huntingnut.com/pointblank.html
You might also want to take a look at the one I have at http://www.handloads.com/calc too. It does the same thing as the basic one at the JBM site, but I think is a little easier to use.

I'm pretty sure that would wipe out a bear if it hit the bear where the bear needed to be hit, which would likely be easier to do under pressure with: a rifle. Like I said in the other post "We'll have to agree to disagree"
At least you have good sense when it comes to quotes.
How is the recoil with that BFR? Lets use a .44 Superblackhawk with 320gr cast loads at about 1300 for the baseline of comparison. That would only have about 1200.58 lbs of energy.
