I'm not the best person to comment on lever guns, but the 357 Mag didn't come out until 1935, long after the 1889 was out of production. Is this a new reproduction of the 1889, or is it a 'new' 1894?

I've heard of a 1889 being converted to 357 back before it was available commercially in a rifle. Just as a lot of Winchester 1892s were converted to 357 and 44 Mag as well.
