Savage 99

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

Hey everybody. Can anyone tell me the differences between all the different Savage 99 models? There are so many. I have an "F" model which I know is a feather lite, but I've been looking at an "A" model, and a "C model, A Series". Now I do know that the "C" stands for clip, but what are all the other letters. I found one website, but it didn't help much. Can anyone help?

I have a 1964 DL and a 1951 EG. The differences between the other models is beyond me. However, if you were to visit Savage Collectors - 24hourcampfire you might find some answers.

Thanks for the Help. I have a 99F that I would have to guess is slightly old/odd. It is a feather lite, but desn't have the brass trigger. And the safety is the type that prevents the trigger from being pulled, and won't allow the lever to open.
