Miroku 243 Lever Action

Registered Users do not see the above ad.

I'm at my wit's end. been searching and searching for a magazine for a Miroku lever action 243. My nephew bought the gun from a deceased estate. It' in excellent condition but didn't come with a magazine. So he just thought he'd simply buy a new one.
Well, it has been months now and we have no luck whatsoever as to where he can buy one. can't even find a picture of the magazine on the 'Net. Can anyone please help with some information on this???

Miroku is a manufacturer of guns, but it may not be the "brand" of the gun. Miroku has made guns for both Browning and Winchester, and possibly others. If there is a model number, that may help.

If you can, take some pics and upload them to an online hosting site such as Photobucket, then provide a link so the forum members can see them. Sometimes seeing a gun can help determine what other names the gun may be listed as.

Compare your Miroku to the Browning BLR. I believe that you will find them to be one and the same. Should that prove true, a BLR mag will solve your problem.

Thanks for the info folks. We tried a Browning mag but not sure which model. I'll have to ask my nephew and also get the numbers of the barrel. There is not much info other than the "made by Miroku, japan", a serial number and what I think is a model number.
Again, thank you very much.

You may also find that a magazine for any other cartridge in the 308 family will work for your rifle.

Funny co-incidence, IMHO

FWIW, "someone" has asked the same thing elsewhere, and has refuted the same advice.

Miroku 243 underlever rifle.
