Talking Food Corprate scam a vet day.

Just how many or you would go out to one of the listed restaurant's for a meal today if they were not giving a free some thing to the vet?

Scam 1

What a scam the restaurants have came up with, some have a special menu that you can pick from void the higher priced meals but who can argue with a free meal.

Scam 2

Most of us vets have a wife girl friend or other. You take advantage of a meal you would not normally drive to town for and the restaurant gets to charge you for the second meal.

Sorry I will not par take drinking the cool aid, I would just be happy with a 20% discount on a meal for my self and wife rather than the normal 10% many will give if you ask and flash your VA ID card.

Thank you Lowe's, auto zone and others who give vets a 10% discount 365/366 days a year.

As retired military I am simply grateful for the fact I'm still on the top side of the grass. I don't expect anything in this life for free, but I am grateful for those who choose to remember Veterans on Veterans Day.

I suppose I am most grateful though of the appreciation my family and friends show through their many messages sent to me the last 24hrs.

I'm very proud and grateful to be both an American and a Veteran. God Bless America!

A very popular local restaurant is giving free meals to vets. They are not allowing anyone in but vets & spouses. Local Air Force CAP cadets (12 - 18 yo) are working it - in uniform. Not a scam here, no special menu, no cool aide.

A lucky few did receive a free meal for them selves and spouse.

Today Kare and I are going out to finish filling my deer hunting needs before the season starts Tuesday. We will stop at our favorite restaurant and have a meal< I've been craving fish. When I pay the bill if it is a new girl/guy that does not know me I will flash my VA ID card and get 15% off the bill. That would happen 7 days a week 52 weeks a year.

I have been living in Great Falls for a year and a half I have been shopping at various Sporting goods stores. We have one called Big Bear, and my lady told they are a bit pricey.I have been going there because they are close and the prices are fair.I bought a Ruger American there a couple a couple of weeks ago and was checking out when a young lady I had been chatting with asked if I had a VA card.Showed it and got $ 50.00 off. That was really nice.It has been happening all over here in Montana.

Trump does not control the purse strings once he is sworn in. Any changes to Veterans benefits will be a act of the house or senate and because Trump my want the changes he may very well be told to P on a rope and suck on the wet end. Don't think all his insulting people will go very far in the house and senate my self.

Any way I will not be holding my breath waiting for any changes. Got to keep money to keep foreign governments happy ya know.

At least we are not getting the bonus army treatment.
