Army v Navy

Well, it's been since 2001 and the game only a few months after 9/11, but Army finally beat Navy after a long string of losses. This was, I believe, the 113th meeting of the two storied Academies.

The game is always of interest to me and I am, of course, happy to have seen Army make a long late game drive for a go-ahead TD. More importantly I enjoy the 10 mins or so right after the game. Both teams and Academies are honored and watching both Cadets and Midshipmen honoring eaches longtime traditions is truly great.

Lined up against each other on the field today, serving their Nation as Brothers in Arms soon is something very special to consider.

To my fellow Army brothers, I am proud for our win. For my Navy and Marine Brothers in Arms, I commend your play and hard fought drive and play in this and every other game in this storied rivalry.

I wish the very best for all of the participants as they graduate and begin another difficult phase of their military careers. God Bless you all.
