American Sniper

Went and saw "American Sniper" last evening.Powerful movie, especially the part where he begins working with disabled vets.I had read the book which was outstanding.I believe The American Rifleman done an article on him a few months before his death and that was my first introduction to him.He was the epitome of the those who have stepped up to the plate for us all through our nations history and was taken from us far to soon.Pleased to report people were lined up all the way out the door when we got there for the 4:30 show and it sold out.Same thing for the 7 o,clock show.I have never saw that in our town before;not even for Saving Private Ryan,Flags of our Fathers or Zero Dark Thirty. All the best to his family.

I just heard a similar review of the movie yesterday. My family and I are going to see it today or tomorrow.

Glenn Beck said it had his younger daughter in tears. Beck said he and his family saw the movie with Chris Kyle's widow. That had to be difficult. I don't think I can go see it. That these brave men sacrifice for us, and to them have them personally excoriated and their efforts impugned by our useless media is more than I want to face. As far as I'm concerned, the Columbia School of Journalism has NEVER produced a hero even close to the likes of the average American soldier who acquits himself well either in peacetime service or in combat. American soldiers are willing to die to defend our Freedom. American journalists are willing to tell any lie to undermine it...

Michael Moore recently put out a tweet that snipers are cowards. It always amazes me that the people that benefit the most from the sacrifices of others tend to have the least respect for them. Personally I refuse to watch anything that is tied to Michael Moore or his supporters.

Michael Moore has been a ****** from the start. He's just trying to capitalize on somebody else's hard work.

I couldn't wait when I found out this moving was going to be released. I was not disappointed it was done as well as Lone Survivor. Two great movies!

I saw it Monday night. It was outstanding and I was truly impressed with it. Hollywood put their mark on it though - there is more cursing in the movie than a ship full of sailors, and that's just from the girl who plays Kyle's wife. I was embarrassed for my 17 year old daughter.

Other than that - you couldn't ask for a better movie.

Michael Moore claims he didn't mean Kyle was a coward. He said the sniper who shot his father was a coward! Ahhh. See how that makes sense now? ()

There have been SNIPERS as far back as the Civil War! This I know for a fact, as in Lexington, Missouri, there is a very famous battle that took place and there is also a memorial there, where a short film is given and mentions the "snipers" etc. Michael Moore is a loud mouth who needs his lips glued together.

I have not as yet seen the movie but I figured with Clint Eastwood doing the directing, it would be worth the price of admission. To many of today's movies are made via the computer and the speed is faster than the eye and brain can pick up on. I also don't like it when they pack on 30 pounds of muscle on a guy like Brad Pitt for a movie character.

You guys might find this very interesting. A lengthy, interesting article on Chris Kyle's favorite sniper rifles. Very good.

Having seen to movie it just seems like a nice circle jerk for Chris Kyle's family to try and hide that he was quite likely a terrible person. I don't know if y'all are aware of the fact that he lied about fighting Jesse Ventura (and lost a suit to that point). Was accused of war crimes and I cannot find this under everyone writing about how wonderful he was and quoting Sarah Palin. I really do not understand why a demonstrated liar and someone who sounds like a complete psychopath (I read his book by the way).
I was only able to find these articles:
Truth, Justice and the Curious Case of Chris Kyle
Did Chris Kyle deck Jesse Ventura? | San Diego Reader
American Sniper Chris Kyle was proved a liar by Jesse Ventura, and HarperCollins may owe the former governor millions | National Post

He killed our sworn enemies. More than 160 of them. I'm happy.

He CLAIMS to have killed more then 160 of them. He also claims to have done many things that were proved to be false by more then one person in multiple separate occasions. He is proved a liar time and time again.
