This morning at 6:55 my Son-in-law Brandon, visiting from Knoxville, took this great Tennessee buck. He, I and my other Son-in-law Mike were all hunting the same area and Brandon was the big winner today! 11 points total and he took him with my Ruger Hawkeye in .358 Win. His biggest buck to date!:D

"Pretty good deer..."?

Uh, that's a FANTASTIC deer!! Anybody who wouldn't be incredibly pleased with that buck should sell their guns and take up needle-point, or something! :)

I love the pictures taken in the field, before gutting the deer out. Excellent buck with perfect memories. Great job! :)

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes, he is having him mounted and I figure his score to be right at 150" +/- 3". I did not take a tape to it, but we have some similar enough to figure a good rough score on him. We made a real effort to get some good pictures in the field, knowing it could be the buck of a lifetime(?) for him. We took the photos right where he dropped with minimal moving of the deer. We cleared away some brush, so there would be clear shots, made sure the tongue was not hanging out and also made sure as little blood was present as possible. We appreciate the fact that the photos will appear presentable and also show our respect for the animal. We were lucky enough to have the time and light to do this after the harvest, so we did our best.

Son-in-law Mike is chomping at the bit to make a big load of jerky out of the meat. I'm looking forward to some venison stew, chile and spaghetti sauce. :D

Thanks again.
