Well, I just got done snooping around Winchester's website. Bad news, looks like they are offering an 1885 Low Wall chambered in 6.5x55 Swede as a Shot Show special. Why is this bad? I'll tell you, as soon as I can locate one I'm going to be about $1200 poorer.
I also see that as a bad news.... I may also have to locate one so it will also make me about $1200 poorer.... Don't tell my wife just yet, I try to break bad news to her a little at a time.......
They've been giving a lot of bad news lately....one of last years SHOT show specials was an M71 and this year in addition to yours, there's also a 257 Roberts in an M70 Featherweight.

I feel your pain. I've long wanted a Model 70 Super Grade, but as I go through their on-line catalog I'm now finding I need a Model 70 Super Grade 75th Anniversary Edition, a Model 70 Jack O'Conner Custom Tribute, a Model 70 Alaskan Stainless or Extreme Weather, and a Model 71 Deluxe.
I'm with Arnie. Isn't the low wall a little light for the 6.5 Swede? I thought the Sweded was on step (or actually slightly more powerful than) the 7mm-08. Is the Low Wall safe for this cartridge?
Normally I hate to see an American icon like Winchester go to a non American company like FN, but the new FN Winchesters are some of the finest pieces of art in the gunworld.
All you guys cry'in about informing the wife about the new gun, just need to quit it and go back and read Pat McMannus and his surefire ways of getting the new guns past his wife.
He has it all figured out and down in black and white, things like the expanding gun cabnet that always has one empty spot.
Come on fellers, put on the Ol'think'in cap! Pat clearly points out that this isn't rocket sci.
