Welcome to the Forum

Glad to see you here.

I moved your post to the optics section to get more attention. All the best...

It depends on barrel thickness and the bolt handle. There's no way to know without trynig...BUT, a 50mm scope causes turkey neck every time. Big scopes have to be high.

Pick a Leupold scope with the same size glass and tube as yours. Then go tongue link below and put the scope and your gun in.

https://www.leupold.com/mounting-systems/

Even if you choose not to use their rings, you will know for sure what is needed for your specific rifle.

I mounted a Burris FullField II 3.5x-10x 50 mm scope on my WIN M70 30-06 using Burris Signature Zee medium rings which left approximately 1/8" clearance between the Object bell and barrel. I really like this combination.

Same setup with high rings.

Thanks shooters can't wait until the T/C compass 6.5 hits the stores and I can decide on 50mm optic .I know why T/C but I have to have at least one gun with 5r . At least I'll spend as much on optics as the gun .
