The last two rifles I purchased were both Howa 1500 in .223 and .204 Ruger. Both came with the Nikko Stirling scopes. Because of the bad weather here in Idaho I have only shot the .223 a couple of times after the barrel break-in. My .204 Ruger hasn't been out yet. My question is does any of you guys have any experience with these scopes and if so I would like to hear your thoughts of them. I think they look decent on top of the rifles but the important thing is quality. Thanks...........

They are a tin can. A couple of friends bought a few Howa's a couple years back, all came with them; Nighteaters IIRC. If you need a $20 fixed power for your 22LR, they'll do. But not much more. Eye relief has a radical shift with mag, exit pupil stinks so eye position is critical.

If take them to the Potlatch gun show and sell them to someone who just needs glass, or set them on a post and shoot them like we did.
