I am looking for one of those square belled scopes that where popular on lever guns to make it easer to see your sights when the scope was elevated. What are they called? Are they still manufactured?
Thanks

(I thought I posted this but was unable to find it if it is a dupe post Im sorry)
Redfield called them "Lo-Profile, Wide Angle" scopes. Think Weaver just called them wide angled. Haven't looked of late, so not sure if either is still in production.
The scope is for my Fatherenlaws rifle. He thinks they look cool so he wants to try to get one. I personaly would not take the time to look for one but he wants it. Ive got a fealing they are no longer in production.
I've got a 1.5x6 Redfield Widefield with a fine crosshair/dot reticle that's surplus at the moment. Used to be mounted on a Marlin 1895. Give me a PM if interested.
I killed a lot of deer with my 35 Rem. Marlin with a 3X Leupold before I took the scope off and installed a Williams Foolproof receiver sight. I never had a need for anything more powerful with that cartridge.
