I had a neat little browning rifle in my hands yesterday. 17HMR and a 'straight pull' action. Wondered if any of you had seen, handled, owned or used one. Could be looking for a replacement 17HMR in the new year and this rifle was so handy, compact, that even with a silencer on it would still be nice and easy to move around in a hide, high seat etc.
I'm assuming it's the T bolt you are talking about? If so, it's a great little rimfire. I'm a big fan of modern browning firearms and I'm also a big FNH fan so I'm probably biased.
Anyways, I don't own one but my good friend does. His is an older .22lr and it's a great shooter. Countless desert cottontail have been taken with the little browning. It's very high up on my want/need list for rimfire rifles. I don't think you will be disappointed with it.
Straight pull actions are not common in the U.S but I personaly like them a whole lot and think they are fun.
Here is a link to them on Browning's U.S. website.
